In these 22 articles, two of them were duplicates of data [ 11, 14].
Obvious duplicates of data were removed and for many common metabolites e.g. amino acids and sugars only a single stereochemical form of the compound was retained.
The strengths of this review include the relatively broad scope of interventions examined, the use of systematic search strategies, duplicate reviews and duplicate abstraction of data, and the use of a Bayesian meta-analysis model designed for pooling of data from individually and cluster-randomized trials, and the examination of a clinically important outcome.
