The objective of this study was to use administrative data to examine the effect of drug treatment completion on patients' subsequent employment and wages earned in the year following discharge, and to compare the consistency of these results across three states.
Data obtained included: gender, age, self-identified race/ethnicity, country of origin, date of U.S. arrival, date of first clinic visit, reason for LTBI therapy, source of referral, prescribed LTBI treatment regimen, tuberculin skin test size, prescribing clinician, adverse drug reactions, completion of therapy, and HIV serostatus.
Drug treatment completions are increasing and individuals are now significantly better placed to achieve recovery and live their lives free from drugs.
