During the summer period water demand is high due to extensive touristic and agricultural activities, leading to significant drawdown in the area, intensifying the problem of seawater intrusion.

Viewed on a large scale this is likely not an issue, however the combined yield of the bores may exceed the safe yield in a small area leading to localised drawdown.
