The word "dramas" is correct and usable in written English.
You can use it to refer to a genre of creative works, such as books, films, or TV shows, that are characterized by heightened emotions and suspense. For example, "Many people enjoy watching dramas on television."
Why? Have you ever thought about playing in costume dramas?
Submarine call themselves "the world's premier destination for original transmedia dramas, documentaries and genre-defying entertainment", which sounds verbose and pretentious, but their latest interactive documentary – Who are the champions?
Other long-running dramas would do well to take note.
