This draft stage of assembly can be reached within a short number of days.
It has been reported that the draft Btau3.1 assembly of the bovine genome has a number of problems and could be substantially improved [ 21, 31].
Another genomic resource, radiation hybrid (RH) maps, played a pivotal role in the process of mapping animal genomes and validation of draft assemblies of the genome sequence, especially in mammals [ 8– 11].
