The British Library pleased Ted Hughes scholars with its purchase of the poet's enormous literary archive, spending £500,000 on 220 files and boxes of poem drafts, journals and diaries.
This series includes unpublished manuscripts, published poetry anthologies, poetry drafts, journals, book reviews, short stories, screenplays, poetry/video scripts and privately printed chapbooks of Gaver's poetry.
ATLANTA — A trove of Flannery O'Connor's literary drafts, journals, letters and personal effects, long hidden from all but a few scholars, has been acquired by Emory University here and will soon be made available to the public, shedding new light on one of the most influential American writers of the postwar era.
The largest part of the collection contains research papers drafted for journal submission, often with correspondence between Fano and the editors, as well as Fano's own notes and research data.
Nicola Gulley, editorial director at IOP Publishing, said: "The draft journal paper by Lennart Bengtsson that Environmental Research Letters declined to publish, which was the subject of this morning's front page story of The Times, contained errors, in our view did not provide a significant advancement in the field, and therefore could not be published in the journal".
The remaining time will be dedicated to the diffusion of our results (drafting journal articles and conference presentations) and to the preparation of the final report for the funders.
