It has been reported in many studies that although young people have positive attitudes towards organ donation, their knowledge about transplantation is insufficient.
This analysis found relatively few differences between returning and non-returning donors in some respects: levels of altruism, length of donation history, knowledge of the need for blood, and experience of deferral (with the exception of those who felt particularly upset by their treatment).
