This example illuminates the ability of GEMA simulations to evaluate the total effect of thousands of deleterious, beneficial, and neutral mutations under different conditions (gene dominance modes, recombination rates, population size, mating schemes, selection pressure, and various distribution of mutations by selection coefficients).
TabZIP174 was expressed primarily in TY806 and exhibited slight expression in both BS366 and F1, which belonged to the low-parent dominance mode.
If an individual had at least one of the haplotypes to the right of the cut, the individual was placed in the group to the right of the cut, because of the identified dominance mode of action of the QTL [ 3].
