The left-side table-of-contents view, formerly called Document Map, is an improved navigation pane.
These are still documents, however, so I "analyzed" them for what they were, identifying them (when possible) by what the document book's table of contents indicated they were supposed to be.
For a long document, make a table of contents.
Find the information you need from the document using the table of contents, index, or headings.
These documents may include a title page, authorship and affiliation, a summary, acknowledgement, table of content, and list of illustrations before moving onto the body of the document.
If you're citing the entire document, link to the table of contents.
According to the link structure of the graph, that table of contents document would be the main parent of most of those nodes.
The table of contents for the document book indicates what document had been there, so I have included the "Missing" page in the database, with a Note stating what evidence document had gone missing.
For longer documents, consider using Word's built-in Table of Contents feature.
