A 400-pound bear, nicknamed Glen Bearian, that made a habit of dumpster-diving in trash cans in the Glendale area was captured last month.
It was less about the best hockey of the year and more about biting, taunting, slashing, cheap shots, late shots, high-sticking, slew-footing, diving, embellishing, brawling, trash-talking and name-calling.
Nonelectronic methods of identity theft include stealing mail or rummaging through trash ("dumpster diving"), eavesdropping on private conversations in public venues ("shoulder surfing"), or the theft of a wallet or purse.
In some cases this is illegal, but if you are diving on a day close to trash pickup day, it could save your life.
"Literally, take the whole filing cabinet to Kinko's and photocopy everything," says Chicago divorce lawyer Beth Fawver McCormack, who also recommends "dumpster diving" for information that was thrown in the trash and putting keyboard sweeping software on shared home computers to find out about hidden bank accounts, businesses or other information.
Avery's more conventional provocation techniques, such as trash-talking, wife-slagging, face-rubbing, slew-footing, slashing, diving, and flopping, may irritate his adversaries even more on account of his unconventional off-ice persona.
