The main signs of cerebral blood flow disturbances in head injury are olygemia, hyperemia and vasospasm [ 1], which are closely connected with traumatic brain injury and dynamics of the disease.
The disturbance slowly headed westward and it organized into a tropical depression on September 22 while located about 720 mile south of the southern tip of the Baja California Peninsula.
Prior to parasitoid egression, parasitized caterpillars also do not respond to disturbance with head-swings (A.H. Grosman and A. Janssen, pers. obs).. Parasitized caterpillars showed a significantly higher number of head-swings towards the predator than unparasitized caterpillars (Fig. 3A, GLM with quasi-Poisson errors, F1,37 = 57.6, P<0.001).
A further, possibly even more important reason could be the static position of the microscope, which offsets any disturbances caused by head movements.
Tests were performed by using a winch-operated slug (submerged solid cylinder) to create a periodic head disturbance in one well and observing the phase shift and attenuation of the head response in the remaining wells.
Cooper et al. (1965) demonstrated that the steady fluctuation of water level in a well occurs at the same frequency as the harmonic pressure head disturbance in the aquifer.
"We have Shakespeare's burial with an odd disturbance at the head end and we have a story that suggests that at some point in history someone's come in and taken the skull of Shakespeare," said archaeologist Kevin Colls from Staffordshire University.
Information was lacking either because hospitalization in the emergency department was too short to obtain all information or in the case that a patient had consciousness disturbance due to head injury.
Circulation disturbances of the femoral head based on coagulation abnormalities (Green and Griffin 1982 together with Liu and Ho 1991, Glueck et al. 1994) or increased intraarticular and intraosseous pressure (Liu and Ho 1991) are discussed as underlying pathophysiology, but the findings are inconsistent.
This manifests itself as neurological disturbances such as a head tilt, horizontal nystagmus (the eyes flick from side to side), poor balance and vomiting.
