The Park Slope Historic District Extension (see map and boundary description — pdfs) includes all or part of about 40 blocks in the southeast corner of the neighborhood, most of them along Seventh and Eighth Avenues between Seventh and 15th Streets.
As it happens, the commission did designate a NoHo Historic District, beginning at Mercer and ending at the center line of Lafayette; Mr. Greco's property was not included until the 2008 designation of an add-on, the NoHo Historic District Extension.
