To quantify the relation between objective performance (accuracy of the response) and participant's subjective confidence report, we binned the distribution of confidence report in four percentile groups (25, 50, 75 and 100%), for each individual session and participant (Figure 2A).
For example, as in Fig. 1, given p1 = 0.1 (first row), the distribution of confidence for p2 = 0.1 is identical to the distribution of confidence for p2 = 0.9.
Likewise, the distribution of confidence for p2 = 0.3 is symmetric of confidence for p2 = 0.7.
The narrow distribution of confidence intervals after bootstrapping underscores the reliability of our results (Table 1).
Our inferential analysis results show the distribution of confidence intervals during follow-up in the different deviation groups.
In 70%% of all cases the confidence in clinical diagnosis was ≥80 % with a similar distribution of confidence range for patients with and without sciatica.
To test for an association between human rescreening and model confidence, we compared the distribution of human scores across the extreme quartiles of the distribution of confidence scores over false-positive citations using Fisher's exact test.
Gur et al. [ 19] state, "even when observers provide a distribution of confidence ratings, it may be more representative of the subtleness of the depicted abnormality rather than the confidence that the observer actually 'saw' or did not 'see' it".
Each reaction in RECON 1 has an assigned confidence score that allows the experimental evidence underlying the reaction to be quickly assessed [ 11]. Figure 2D shows the distribution of confidence scores of the reactions investigated.
While the expression of the strongly upregulated genes that appear to be direct targets of a MOP1-mediated pathway varied significantly, the distribution of confidence of expression was higher and had a narrower range than the entire set of mop1-1 DEGs (Fig. 5B) and the average P value decreased when genes were categorized using multiple features (Fig. 5C).
