Identification of an etiologic agent has been reported to be similar among patients with lobar pneumonia (50%) or bronchopneumonia (55%) [ 4]; however, in recent studies, the procedure has been performed only in children with a distinct peripheral consolidation [ 6– 8].
Amazon's success in so many different lines of business has not been easy for regulators to tackle, given that federal antitrust law largely focuses on consolidation within distinct industries.
During sleep, newly acquired memory traces are not only strengthened in distinct neural circuits (synaptic consolidation), but fresh memory traces are also redistributed to other brain regions for long-term storage and integrated within pre-existing long-term memories, a process termed system consolidation [13] [15].
This pulmonary consolidation was distinct from that which occurs routinely in SHIP−/− and SHIPΔIPΔIP mice as an eosinophilic crystalline pneumonia (figure 9A F).

However, both types of processes could occur during sleep but during distinct phases of sleep: active consolidation in light NREM and REM sleep and synaptic downscaling in deep NREM sleep (see ref. 22 for a review).
Traditionally, it is a continuum divided into five distinct periods: osteotomy, latency, distraction, consolidation and remodelling.
Hence, seemingly identical learning curves may result from distinct contributions of acquisition and consolidation between trials.
This work extends our previous knowledge in two ways: First, we demonstrate distinct GC effects on memory consolidation dependent on the brain state, i.e., sleep and wakefulness, to our knowledge for the first time in an animal model.
