For each trial, we took the absolute distance of error from the target.
We performed this calculation for every trial using its specific distance of error from the target item.
Importantly, even in this analysis, in which the distance of error from target was controlled, patients exhibited almost twice as many swap errors compared to control subjects [ Fig. 3C; patients 13% versus 7% for controls; t(17) = 3.5 P = 0.003].
On the other hand, the average Euclidean distance of tumor errors in the lung screening phantom was 4.84 ± 1.45 mm, which was measured by using an image guided patient positioning (IGPP) system in the radiotherapy system used for this study.

The Coulomb force feedback requires measurements of separation distance error and error rate, while the thruster feedback is in terms of Euler angles and their rates.
A subject with large feet will not have a comparable amount of potential variability of distance errors as the person with small feet.
For this cut-off distance the errors of calculation of the interaction energy E W between the fullerenes and the (8,8) nanotube and the barriers for relative motion and rotation of the fullerenes inside the nanotube are less than 0.1%.
Moreover, the distance estimation errors of almost half of our 28 receiving antenna pairs were below the resolution limit, which is again an effect of using the diversity offered by the time variations in the channel.
