Lines derived from this effort are subjected to conventional biochemical and pharmacological methods, as well as to a novel analytical platform that can more finely dissect features of disrupted motor function.
Clinical evidence shows that motor-evoked potentials, and thus motor function from cortex down, remain intact in this state, making it unlikely that the loss of responsiveness we observed is only a result of disrupted motor function (Moore et al., 2006; Garavaglia et al., 2014).
