From a solely black or white pattern, no valuable displacement information can be gathered so that the subset size should be larger than the speckle size.
In the experiments, the camera was used to acquire the picture from the screen and transmit images to computer in real time to calculate the displacement information by the MATLAB software.
As can be seen in Fig. 4, it is more difficult to extract source information from vertical displacements, because the final displacement, which is always subsidence, can be cancelled out by the transient displacement, which is usually uplift.
Moreover, local surface displacements are estimated using phase information from the SAR data.
We also estimated surface displacement using InSAR, which can produce a surface displacement map over wide areas using phase information from paired satellite observations, without the need for ground-based observations.
The Doppler OCT data sets were merged using motion correction information (displacement fields) from the registered intensity images (Fig. 6 ).
The direction of the displacement obtained is accurate; however, there is not sufficient information from the low-resolution data to fully reproduce the full conformational change.
Since the bees could not perceive the direction of movement during the displacement, compass information alone (be it from the sun, the polarization pattern in the sky, magnetic inclination or polarity) could not have guided them.
Ideally it would be defined using a threshold displacement magnitude, relative to a far field location, but it is rarely possible to extract such information from publications.
The 3D information from Figure 7 is compressed into contour graphs in Figure 8 so as to highlight the drug-induced displacement of the 3D structure.
