At low current densities, a pseudo-Tafel behaviour varying with the speed of the rotating disk is observed.
For example, luminal disks were observed in human centrioles (Paintrand et al, 1992; Ibrahim et al, 2009), and luminal rims were observed in the centrioles and basal bodies in other vertebrate cells (Fais et al, 1986).
Also, no colocalization with α-actinin, the marker of Z disks, was observed (Fig. 3b).
