The American Board of Orthodontics' discrepancy index (DI) was designed to objectively quantify the complexity of a malocclusion before orthodontic treatment.
The method is based on the characteristics of a new discrepancy index, denoted here as Global Discrepancy Indicator (GDI), and trajectories correlation.
