The discrepancy in height-SDS from TH-SDS reduced over time (TH SDS – sT SDS vs TH SDS – FH SDS: -0.59 vs. -0.16; -0.70 vs. -0.35; -0.44 vs. -0.09 in the whole population, males and females; respectively).
However, we noticed a shift in these profiles along altitude probably due to a possible discrepancy in the height coordinate for EAR.
We suspect this difference (bias) may be attributed to the discrepancy in the height coordinates between the two measurements.
By the time I was 6, I was bigger than Mark: not just taller, but heavier, by a good 10 to 12 pounds, only a few of them attributable to the then-slight discrepancy in our heights.
This was attributed to discrepancies in reported height among very young children.
After performing the surface planarization, the discrepancy in the maximum height observed between both templates almost disappears (Fig. 1b).
In addition, height discrepancy in flooring, such as step-offs between bathroom and bedroom, were removed.
Some studies have identified a greater discrepancy in self-reported and measured height and weight among certain groups, including overweight or obese individuals compared to healthy or underweight individuals [ 6, 7, 9- 12], females [ 7- 9, 12, 13], dieters compared to non-dieters, non-smokers compared to smokers [ 11, 14], and older individuals [ 7, 9, 11].
We also found a correlation between SBP discrepancy and height, meaning that in taller patients, the device tended to overestimate SBP and in shorter patients, it tended to underestimate SBP.
Indeed, the plots with maximum heights between ~ 25 and 45 m had the largest discrepancies, while the tallest trees sampled approached 70 m in height.
