This difference between females and males in preference was consistent with their current practice perception that at-fault-physician discloses ME (43% vs. 26%) but not with which ME to be disclosed (17% vs. 17% for near miss ME, 20% vs. 9% for no-disclosure of ME); thus females had a larger gap between preference and current practice perception regarding which ME to be disclosed.
