The total number of cases in which an officer or officers fired their weapons — including the shooting of dogs and accidental discharges — dropped to 111 last year from 127 the year before.
During this period the melt composition was slightly less silicic, with the SiO2 content reduced from 60 61 wt% to 58 59 wt% (Fig. 2e) and the magma discharge dropped to 0.5 9·104 kg s−1 (≈2–35 m3 s−1 DRE).

Within year comparisons showed that gender, age group and prior treatment contact was not significantly related to whether individuals were discharged drug free or dropped out (Table 1).
"It's certainly a good sign if the number of discharges is dropping," said Elisa Hyman, the lawyer handling the cases.
In case of inlet salt velocity, discharging efficiency drops by 3.5% when velocity is increased thrice the initial value.
