In addition 44% of patients being treated with osteoporosis medication by the 2-month post discharge mark had a recent BMD done in the last 1 2 years, compared to only 23% of non-treated patients (p = 0.024).
While the discharge process marks the conclusion of the hospital stay, it is often just the first step on a long road to recovery.
