A significant interaction was observed, with BMI significantly lower among women than men in affluent neighbourhoods, but heavier than men in the more disadvantaged areas (table 2, model 2).
ERA increased ND25+ participants' employment rates and earnings, and these positive effects persisted through the end of the study, suggesting that the ERA model can work for a highly disadvantaged population (see Table 6).
Yet, a high prevalence of disadvantaged childhood circumstances (Table 1) and levels of work stress comparable to those collected in samples of still employed people [ 45] do not support this argument.
