We generated standardised prevalence rates by age-groups, gender, and neighbourhood deprivation, then calculated odds ratio (OR) and 95%% confidence intervals (95 % CI) for adults with intellectual disabilities compared to those without, for the prevalence, and number of condition.
These age-gender-deprivation standardised rates were then used to calculate odds ratio (ORs) and 95%% confidence intervals (95 % CI) for the adults with intellectual disabilities compared to those without (controls), for the prevalence of 32 physical conditions and six mental health conditions, as well as by the number of overall conditions and the number of physical and mental health conditions.
The placebo group had an increased proportion of participants (91%%) with high migraine disability compared to the treatment group (79%%).

Others reported fewer sports-related injuries among children with disabilities compared to those without disabilities (Raman et al. 2009; Zhu et al. 2012; Sinclair and Xiang 2008).
