Ms. Teale is the artistic director of Shared Experience, which is known for translating classic novels into story theater, and her respect for traditional narrative serves "Bracken Moor" well.
That seems to be the case with Polly Teale, the adapter and director of Shared Experience's stage production of the novel that arrives on Tuesday at the Brooklyn Academy of Music in New York.
