This paper deals with optimization of both operating and design parameters namely cell temperature, back pressure, anode and cathode inlet velocities, Gas Diffusion Layer (GDL) porosity and thickness, cathode water mass fraction, flow channel dimensions, rib width and porous electrode thickness.
To the authors' knowledge there is no study that evaluates the consistency in the resulting ratios using measurements of tracheal dimensions, rib width and thoracic inlet dimension or the agreement between the TD/TI and TT/3R methods.

In order to obtain the optimum flow channel section design prior the experimental campaign, some key geometric dimensions (channel depth, channel width, rib width and transition radius) of flow channel section, which are related with both reaction efficiency and formability, are extracted and parameterized as the design variables.
Optimization results show that the optimum dimension values for channel depth, channel width, rib width and transition radius are 0.5, 1.0, 1. 6 and 0.5 mm, respectively with the highest reaction efficiency (79%) and the acceptable formability (1.0).
Each gang had the following dimensions; void length 945 mm × 3; void space 35 mm; slat length 3.5 m; slat rib width 170 mm; slat width 1.18 m.
Consider the evolution of shell rib strength (the ratio of rib height to rib width) within a lineage of fossil brachiopods of the genus Eocelia.
We considered four rib geometries simultaneously; rib angle, rib height, rib width, and rib spacing.
The best rib geometry was based on three design variables; rib height, rib width, and rib pitch.
Four geometric variables (the ratios of the tip width to rib width, rib width to rib height, rib height to channel height, and tip height to rib height) were chosen as the design variables.
Both the rib height (e) and rib width are 1.58 mm, and the rib pitch P/e is 10.
Three ribs of different heights were used; the rib width and pitch were held constant.
