In the proposed method, the FFT data is decomposed based on a row-wise basis that maps the multi-dimensional data into one-dimensional data, and translates the corresponding coordinates from multi-dimensions into one dimension so that the one-dimensional data can be divided and allocated equally to the processes using a block distribution.
In Yasilda and Direjtor study, these three dimensions were converted into one dimension named reliability/confidence [ 21] and in Dengjuin et al. study; the three dimensions were converted into one dimension named responsiveness [ 22].
In the light of this enormous gap of dimensionality, it rarely matters whether dimensions are collapsed into one or two dimensions for visual purposes, as such images will be misleading in either way (see examples in Figure 2).

The SOFM transforms the input of an arbitrary dimension into a one- or two-dimensional discrete map subject to a topological (neighborhood-preserving) constraint.
