The present study uses exploratory MSA to analyse two dimensions of items from the Chinese Mandarin form of the SF-36 (CM: SF-36) together to determine if there are underlying dimensions according to the criteria of Mokken scaling and, subsequently, to study the nature of any scales obtained.
