This week saw the fourth in a series of Digital Conversations meetups – London pub sessions aimed at digital conversationalists and enthusiasts, engaging the city's wider digital community in a constructive evaluation of the current and future shape of digital.
Look at how organizers and supporters have used Pastebin, Storify, Twitter, Tumblr, Meetup and other digital tools, along with some more traditional means of disseminating information.

And so those of us who tuned in were able, however briefly, to tune out the torturer's drip of bad news about e-mails, threatened spousal blackmail, debates shouted from end to end, rallies turned riots, racism turned policy proposals, private speeches turned Illuminati meetups, and weird innuendo re: digital extremities.

While digital communities are a part of our everyday lives, they can't replace the value of in-person meetups.
