The relation was found efficient in measuring diffusion spectra in samples with low SNR.
The approach called SOLARIA was used to analyze proton-driven spin diffusion spectra recorded on 13C– block-labeled, microcrystalline preparations of the α-spectrin SH3 domain.
(This idea has experimentally been proven by the F spin diffusion spectra in Fig. 3).
Diffusion spectra were acquired using the stimulated echo experiment with bipolar gradients (stebpgp1s).
Because the diffusion spectra were acquired in a solution of 90% water, it was necessary to eliminate the first spectrum corresponding to a gradient field strength of 1.686 G cm−1 before DOSY processing.
However, for the diffusion spectra shown in Fig. 4, a monoexponential fit of Eq. 1 to the data provides acceptable fits yielding average diffusion coefficients and reasonable fitting errors from 1.5%to6%6%.

By adapting the isotropic diffusion spectrum to measure restricted isotropic diffusivity in the framework of ICA + BSM, our data also suggest that this technique can provide a novel imaging marker to estimate glioma proliferative activity while using a clinically feasible DTI acquisition.
Changes in myocardial fiber architecture occur in ischemic heart disease and heart failure, and can be imaged non-destructively with diffusion-encoded MR. Several diffusion-encoding schemes have been developed, ranging from scalar measurements of mean diffusivity to a 6-dimensional imaging technique known as diffusion spectrum imaging or DSI.
Unlike DTI, diffusion spectrum imaging (DSI) can define multiple directions of water diffusivity; as such, diffusion tractography based on DSI provides marked flexibility for delineation of fiber tracts in areas where the fiber architecture is complex and multidirectional, even in areas of low FA.
Diffusion spectrum imaging (DSI) is one of these twists.
A technique known as diffusion spectrum imaging can then reveal the pathways for this diffusion and hence the structure of the white matter.
