The reason for the different viability of Top2 -complementing males and females is unclear.
Different CFU numbers reflected different viabilities of intracellular M.tb in macrophages (Rampini et al. 2008).
The authors concluded that the difference in effect size was not explained by the known variables (study quality, probiotic strain, the number of different strains, the viability of the organisms, dosage of organisms, the causes of diarrhea, or the severity of the diarrhea, or whether the studies were done in developed or developing countries).
To determine the requirements for the enhanced cytokine induction, the impact of bacterial uptake and processing, as well as different moi and viability of the pathogens were tested for their ability to induce IL-12p70 (Fig. 2).
Another explanation could be the significantly different pollen viabilities of the two species (B. crispa 50%% vs. B. officinalis 81%%).
The simulation results point to distinct differences in the viability of the cells at different scale of operation.
