To identify different response modes, Schnipke and Scrams (1997) proposed a log-normal mixture model of item response time assuming two types of response-time distributions, one for rapid guessing and the other for solution behavior (expressed as a bimodal empirical response time distribution).
By evaluating the different response modes of users, it can be divided into price-based DR and incentive-based DR. Direct load control (DLC), interruptible load (IL) and shiftable load (SL) are important techniques in incentive-based DR. In [9], we have expanded the idea of microgrid planning combined with direct load control behavior.
ORNs of other insect species have also been reported to exhibit different response modes (Davis & Sokolove, 1976; de Bruyne et al., 1999; Qiu et al., 2006).
Alternatively, one could utilize a more empirical approach and aim to identify temporal features of the measured aggregate MEG/EEG signal that allow for the most robust discrimination between different response modes in the same local network.
There are many different types of response mode, and different combinations of mixed modes, that can potentially be used in surveys of doctors.
This observation would however be quite consistent with our findings, as we are suggesting that the changes in spectra are due to different collective response modes in networks of interacting neurons, rather than the same set of neurons changing their frequency.
Perhaps all we need are computers that lock into different modes: chore mode, communication mode and concentrated work mode.
Secondly, it places us in an adversarial response mode where we view our partner and his or her different point of view as the enemy we are fighting against or fleeing from.
