Through our comprehensive search of the rice QTL mapping literature, we have identified a possible explanation for QTL clusters of QTLs for the same trait: we suggest that co-localized QTLs identified in different studies might be caused by the same gene, with slight differences in localization caused by different measurement methods.
The saturated and capped group showed no difference in the effective moduli derived from different measurement methods, while the saturated and non-capped group showed a significant difference between the machine platen- and extensometer-derived moduli.
