The compositional trajectories of the γ-matrix phases of the alloys are found to follow approximately the equilibrium tie-lines, while the trajectories of the γ′-precipitates do not, resulting in significant differences in the partitioning ratios of the solute elements.
Although all approaches give identical total genetic variance, there are differences in the partitioning of the genetic variance into additive, dominance and covariance terms (Table 3).
Among the potential mechanisms for regulating this functional dichotomy are differences in the partitioning of BCR signaling components to lipid rafts [ 4], the expression of B-cell co-receptors [ 5, 6], basal levels of distal effector molecules (e.g, transcription factors and anti-apoptotic molecules) [ 7, 8], and the levels of activation of specific kinases and phosphatases.
When GO Slim (Molecular Function) was used to compare gene ontology in control animals compared with those treated at -7°C and also those of the 0.2 salt group, there was virtually no difference in the relative partitioning between different functions under the two different treatments.
The MHB per glucose yield found for C. glutamicum WT/pEKEx2- Lbadh (2.7 mol/mol) was 10%% higher than the corresponding value determined for E. coli BL21 DE3)/pBtac- Lbadh (2.44 mol/mol) (Siedler et al. 2011), which might be due to slight differences in the partition of glucose 6-phosphate between glycolysis and the PPP.
Sex differences exist in the partitioning of adipose tissue in adults and youth [ 33].
Although the difference in these measurements of the freeplst (0.01 versus 0.02) is small in absolute value, it has a dramatic effect on the pharmacokinetics – producing a roughly two-fold difference in the tissue/blood partition coefficient (eq. (4)).
For both the wild-type (wt) S. obliquus (UTEX 393) and a starchless mutant (slm1) of S. obliquus[ 28], duplicate nitrogen run-out experiments were performed to investigate the difference in carbon partitioning between the wt and the slm1 under nitrogen depleted conditions.
