When heterogeneous variances are neglected, a significant difference in the lineages PE3 and PE5 is found concerning the FAs (Figure 4a), which is not present when heteroscedasticity is accounted for.
As before, we found significant differences in the lineage assignments of several blastocyst samples when we compared our assignments with those of Yan et al. (supplementary material Fig. S4E).
Whether this discrepancy is due to real differences in the lineages of the different species or due to limitations in resolution remains to be verified.
