Immigrants often struggle with language difficulties and health illiteracy, 19 20 and, additionally, healthcare professionals may experience challenges due to language and cultural differences in encounters, leading to misunderstandings and frustrations from the perspectives of the patients as well as the healthcare providers, and resulting in poorer treatment and clinical mistakes at worst.
