In WT, the percentage of diaphragm width occupied by the endplate band (%DW) in E18 embryos is reduced when compared to E16 embryos (p = 0,022), due to the lateral growth of myotubes, which increases diaphragm width without affecting endplate distribution.
Data were analyzed in IgorPro (WaveMetrics, Lake Oswego, U.S.A .. Due to diaphragm size differences, bias was removed by presenting endplate band width as percentage of overall diaphragm width for each analyzed line.
