Our results have shown that even in a highly heterogeneous cohort of challenging patients likely to be representative of cases referred to Molecular Diagnostics laboratories, we were able to make a diagnosis in a significant number of patients.
In our patient, a holosystolic murmur on cardiac exam provided a diagnostic clue that we were able to quickly, effectively, and non-invasively investigate further with echocardiography.
