At the time of RA diagnosis, flow cytometric screening identified two unusually large populations of CD8+ T cells: Vβ1+ (14%) and Vβ13.6+ (11%) (Supplementary Fig. 9).
This work presents the case study illustrating the application of scan diagnosis flow as an effective means to achieve yield enhancement.
Beside initial diagnosis, flow cytometry in particular, enables serial monitoring during the course of the disease [ 9– 12].
Following testing and diagnosis (flows a, b, and c in Fig. 3), there is a period of waiting to be linked to care, represented by the five compartments denoted by W, with subscripts indicating disease state and method of diagnosis.
Examples are given to demonstrate the power of the theories in complex-flow diagnosis, design, and flow control, along with some new simplified theoretical models derived thereby.
These images were assessed and discussed by four senior authors (GN, DT, AR and MT), who had to confirm the absence of any sign of respiratory activity and the diagnosis of flow limitation.
The next stage of diagnosis is flow cytometric analysis of lymphocyte subpopulations, including total T, B and natural killer cells, to distinguish late manifesting X-linked agammaglobulinemia (B cells <0.1%) and combined immunodeficiencies (CD4 cells <200/μl).
Demographic and clinical data recorded included gestational and postpartum age, gender, weight, diagnosis, ECMO flow and duration of ECMO treatment, time (after starting ECMO) continuous furosemide infusion was started, dose and duration of continuous IV furosemide, additional loop diuretics, inotropic support, and fluid intake.
At diagnosis, the flow-cytometry screen detected a CD8+ Vβ13.1+ T-cell population composing 50.4% of total CD8+ T cells (Supplementary Fig. 9).
