Collaborative and conflict-prone human endeavors are numerous, including public policy-making in globalized societies [8], [9], open-source software development [10], teamwork in operating rooms [11], and even long-term partnerships [12].
Based on prior work from Weinberger et al. (2005) and Nussbaum et al. (2009), we developed epistemic and social scripts as scaffolds to support students in their collaborative human factor design tasks for the project, as well as to support their development of teamwork skills.
There are tens of thousands of stories just like this one, starring teachers who move from being "just a teacher" to justice in teaching, due to their personal commitment to student potential, and, at times, thanks to the professional development and teamwork in which they take part.
