Analyzing the instability of the system, as determined by external factors, the development of fluctuations at the input and output should be considered.
Though initially effective, within 5 years of initiating levodopa therapy, up to 80%% of patients will experience substantial side effects such as the development of fluctuations in motor performance, dyskinesias, and neuropsychiatric complications [ 7].
