In this study we have developed prioritisation criteria for the evaluation of new diagnostic technologies.
Due to the high number of synthetic chemicals, there exists the need to develop prioritisation strategies.
Several countries, principally New Zealand, Canada and the United Kingdom, have developed prioritisation instruments as the strategy for managing waiting lists according to the needs of the patients and the benefit expected from surgery [ 9].

To develop a prioritisation system based on the preferences of the public that could be used to prioritise individuals for bariatric surgery, 'priority weights' were derived based on the MNL model coefficients, to indicate the relative importance of the different criteria.
