FV curves were derived from the value at the end of the test pulse, GV curved were derived from estimating the instantaneous tail current amplitude.
The main performance metric of LS-SVM is the prediction risk (Equation (4)), defined as mean square error (MSE), between estimated values derived from LS-SVM and true values for testing inputs.

The phenotypic values used for the genomic predictions were de-regressed proofs (DRP) that were derived from the estimated breeding values (EBV) and from the effective daughter contributions [ 23, 24].
DRP of CH bulls and cows were derived from the estimated breeding values (EBV) obtained from the Chinese genetic evaluations in April 2012 (Dairy Association of China), and DRP of NH bulls were derived from the EBV of Nordic genetic evaluations in November 2010 (Nordic Genetic Evaluation).

Thus, when comparing (repeated measures) animal model estimates with estimates derived from mean trait values, one needs to take into account that within-individual variance is likely affecting the estimate of phenotypic variance and possibly also the additive and residual variance [11].
