Cadmium was added to putative positive clones to induce hiAP expression and the cell extracts were analyzed by Western blot using a specific antiserum from sheep (L-19, Santa Cruz Biotechnology) originally derived against an internal epitope of human placental and intestinal alkaline phosphatase.
