We sampled tree recruitment in 83 burned sites to address the question of how burn severity and site environment interact to influence the species composition and density of post-fire tree recruitment, and hence the successional trajectory of forest.
In fact, addition of these inhibitors both alone or in combination with each other increased growth of the sarA mutant to a limited degree at least as defined by the maximum optical density of post-exponential phase cultures (Fig. 8).
Note that reduced D2-receptor availability––as measured by [11C]-raclopride PET can have three possible origins: reduced density of post-synaptic D2-receptors, increased levels of synaptic dopamine or both.
Furthermore, not all brain areas were affected similarly: while we detected reductions in the densities of post-synapses in the cortex and stratum radiatum of the CA1 field, we were unable to detect any effects in the stratum oriens of the CA1 field or in the molecular layer of the dentate gyrus (Fig. 2F and G).
The LLE experiments are sensitive to the optical density of the post-shock gas-particle mixture and show a time-dependent increase, depending on the detailed reaction conditions.
Henderson and Snively [59] set the density of the post-cervical region to 1000 kg m3, and the cranio-cervical region to 900 kg m3 to account for pneumatization of the skeleton and associated air sacs.
