Nasrallah has called the American embassy in Beirut a "den of spies".
"Is Syria the den of spies we have been led to believe?" He replies: "No, I haven't.
The "Den of Spies," as it is dubbed locally, has rooms devoted to old espionage equipment and photographs of American hostages from the Embassy takeover, in 1979.
Away from the official cameras however, people were reportedly chanting: "The Russian embassy is a den of spies," a reference to Russia's support for Mr Ahmadinejad.
"The Russian embassy is a den of spies," shouted another group, a chant reminiscent of post-revolutionary tirades previously reserved for the US.
According to IRIB, the state TV station, the only rally was the official one outside the former US embassy, the scene of the 444-day-long hostage siege, and locally referred to as the "den of spies".
On Wednesday, Iran will loudly celebrate the Nov. 4, 1979, takeover of the United States Embassy, with a state-sponsored rally in front of the building, commonly known as the den of spies.
"The British government should know that, if they insist on their evil stances, the Iranian people will punch them in the mouth, exactly as happened against America's den of spies, before it was approved by officials," Kuchakzadeh said.
Outside the former US embassy's compound in Tehran – now a museum called "den of spies" – hundreds of Iranians gathered last week to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the hostage crisis, when 52 American diplomats were held captive for 444 days.
America became known as "the Great Satan", while the former embassy compound became a museum called "the den of spies" – in reference to the documents taken as evidence of US sabotage during the revolution.
