Although the principles of delivering person-centred care are inherent in the curriculum of practitioners' training, these can be difficult to carry out in a consistent manner within a time- and resource-squeezed NHS [ 38].
Nevertheless, the enthusiasm and high level of consensus demonstrated in the first round of responses was an unexpected but welcome development, which directed our emphasis towards the valuable insights provided by participants into the complexities of delivering person-centred dementia services.
