Worley said the service works like this: When a user travels on an enabled bus with a beacon present and that user's phone's Bluetooth is on, the Chrome browser will deliver a notification alerting them to the service.
"I would rather be criticized for potentially annoying someone, than for not delivering a critical alert under these dangerous fire conditions," Huston said.
"If you have a busy air-traffic controller whose senses are all over the place, you could imagine bypassing them all and delivering a type of alert when two aircraft are coming close to one another," he says.
Near the start of the movie (spoiler alert!), Schamus delivers an all-time spoiler: Marcus, in uniform, dies fighting in the Korean War, and says as much in a voice-over.
These employees could, for example, deliver groceries, alert social-services agencies when people on their routes need help, or, even more ambitiously, supply "wellness services".
