The conservation of biodiversity in Europe is defined by Directive 92/43/EEC – commonly known as the Habitats Directive – relating to the conservation of natural habitats and of wild flora and fauna.
This Directive should also cover large companies and large groups, as defined in Directive 2013/34/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council(5), which do not have shares admitted to trading on a regulated market, given that they also do business which has a major impact.

Audiovisual media services are defined in Directive 2007/65/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 11 December 2007 amending Council Directive 89/552/EEC on the coordination of certain provisions laid down by law, regulation or administrative action in Member States concerning the pursuit of television broadcasting activities (14).
